my first "real" post! I'm up too late as usual in my lil basement apartment, but I don't have class til 1 tomorrow so it's allowed.
ohh my. the foods that don't make me sick are consolidating into a very short list.
veggies.
fruits.
nuts.
legumes. what a weird word. it's fancy talk for beans.
yogurt. the only dairy.
tuna.
small amounts of chicken.
grarr. if you see me eating anything other than these things? take it away from me. thank you Boyfriend for keeping me on track, even though sometimes I feel like a 5 year old getting her candy taken away. :) for drinks I can have juices from my JUICER!! yeah, I love that thing. thanks again Granny and Pop!!
carrot-apple juice for the win. I can also have tea, water, potentially Lactaid although I haven't had it in awhile...and the famously overpriced Naked juice (power-C and peach-mangosteen bliss are definitely the best).
for dessert, York Peppermint Patties didn't do harm today. apparently Dairy Queen has no dairy, but I'm not willing to risk it yet. who knows what else is in those things. blech.
I found out from one of the kids I nanny for that they may be moving in May, to Denver. and thus leaving me job-less. granted, it was "may" and IN May...but sheesh. I was naively counting on this to put me through college.
so the former extra-job search may have to become my I-need-a-job-right-now search. if you could pray for me that would be nice! money is tight all over the place, I know, but this job is what allows me to live on my own. rent, gas, food, etc.
on other notes... I am missing Prague. Europe Bug bit me and I want to step outside to cobblestone streets and wake up to church bells and not feel weird because I dress uniquely, haha. oh yes. and straciatella yoghurt. mouth is now watering. awesome.
I think I decided on a major. I think. I'm now goin' for an English major, but will be getting my Elementary Education degree in the process. I'm transferring to UCCS next semester (fall), so I'm really excited! it's a degree I can use pretty much wherever (curse you travel bug), and love it.
Michael and I went to Alethia Church (Sam's new church...just prayer meetings for now) and loved it. I missed having community, and we feel we'll have it there. they might be doing a trip to Haiti this summer! which is very exciting. silly Hispaniola island. I can't seem to break the habit. :)
but in all honesty, everything that is happening there is hitting me hard. I shouldn't feel so powerless to just pray. but I want to do something tangible, and God will provide that opportunity if it's his will.
